The world is changing fast and if you are not involved in Bitcoin or any other form of Crypto currency then you and yours are missing out. Check out my recommendations in this blog or at least just get yourselves a Coin-Base account and buy some Bitcoin and sit on them!
Everyone has heard of Bitcoin and should be aware of just how much the value of this digital asset has increased during this year especially. But Bitcoin is not the only kid on the block, so to speak, and it's phenomenal rise has encouraged the rise of many other Cryptocoins with new ones springing up nearly every week.
This is what Initial Coin Offerings or ICO'S as they are known are born, read on to find out more.
An Initial Coin Offering (ICO) or Token Generation Event (TGE) is a new fundraising tool from the cryptocurrency realm.
In some ways, ICOs and TGEs are like a crowdfunding campaign, but instead of offering a product or shares of equity in a startup, companies offer “coins” (for ICOs) or “tokens” (for TGEs), which allow their buyers to access blockchain-based software services.
Rather than pitch their service to a venture capitalist, programmers may host a TGE and sell a fixed number of their tokens to the open market (usually in exchange for Bitcoin or Ethereum) to fund their idea.
Consumers buy the tokens with the hope that, over time, the software or service will become widely used and increase the token’s value.
This route is especially popular for companies that aim to create decentralized platforms because, by definition, no one owns these platforms or directly profits from them.
Nearly $2.3 billion has been raised to date in ICOs, with the large majority of that taking place in the first half of 2017 ($800 million in Q2 2017).
So as you can see there is a lot of capital going into these as everyone is looking to emulate the vast profits of those who bought into Bitcoin in the early days. Whether they will or not is something we must wait for but the early signs with a lot of these are very good.
Personally I love Bitcoin although I am also buying into Etherium as well and maybe a little later I'll buy some Litcoin, simply to spread the risk. I think it will be an interesting ride.
In the meantime I am Involved with a great company that pays me instantly with Bitcoin every time I sell some advertising and is proving a great way for me to grow my Bitcoins. If you want to find out more click the banner below.
How often do you need to resize a perfectly good banner to a different size to suit the place you are advertising in? It’s not good enough to put a large banner when a smaller one is needed, it will just distort the banner to make it fit.
Take a look at the following banner:
Now this is a great little banner, but the place where I wanted to advertise it would only accept a banner size of 125×125 pixels.
There are plenty of sites that will resize ‘jpeg’ and ‘png’ files, but not animated ‘gif’ files like this one. However I did find this site which is easy to use and completely free. This is the site: http://resizeimage.net/and this is the resized image I created.
As you can see, the image resizing has worked a treat with only a slight distortion due to me insisting on a square banner.
Creating Simple Banners.
Here are some banners I created using http://www.bannersketch.eu/ and it only took me around 15 to 20 minutes each banner. This is a completely free service that does have a hosting option, which is ridiculously cheap, if you want to use it. I don’t because I can just upload them to my blog here and take the image URL from here.
Anyway lets take a look at the banners.
486×60 and 728×90
Here’s a slightly bigger banner that I can use as a header. Unfortunately BannerSketch only lets us use a maximum width of 728 pixels, but hey it’s a free program and I can work with that. So here’s a 728x 250 banner.
Just for fun I created an even bigger one here, this would probably make a background for a splash page or something. 728×520.
All the above banners were created using the same background image and just cropped to the size required inside BannerSketch. I had great fun making these and most importantly these are unique to me and so it’s now time to see how they work.
Chances are you’ve never heard of Chuck Feeney. And he’s worked very hard to keep it that way.
Feeney, who will turn 85 on Saturday, had an incredibly successful business career, amassing a multibillion dollar empire based primarily on duty-free retail shopping.
Meet the selfish tycoon who dodged billions in taxes
According to Forbes, this nefarious tycoon “has aggressively tried to avoid taxes at every stage in his career– from setting up his early business in Liechtenstein, incorporating his holding company in Bermuda. . .”
What a surprise… another rich a-hole abusing offshore tax havens in order to keep all of his wealth for himself.
What a B****ard! Or is he!
Things are not always what they seem or what could get reported in the media.
You’re probably wondering how many Ferraris this depraved billionaire has added to his collection over the years…
Well, none, actually.
He’s flown millions of miles in coach, wears a cheap Casio watch, and crashes at his daughter’s apartment when he visits New York City.
It turns out that Chuck Feeney has spent the last few decades giving away his entire fortune to the point that he makes Bill Gates look like an amateur.
Feeney transferred his business interests to his charitable organization in 1984. And for the last 30+ years he’s given away nearly $8 BILLION through the foundation.
Given that Feeney’s personal net worth is now roughly two million bucks (million with an ‘m’), that means he’s given away 99.98% of his wealth.
That's got to be better than giving it to the government so they can use it to bomb people in other countries! Just a thought.
